Practica Afterwards

We will have a free 1 hour practica afterwards to practice what you have learned. This is also a great time to meet your new tango friends. Feel free to come to the practica at 9 pm to meet our friendly group. Wheaton now has it's own little corner of Buenos Aires.

What We Teach

Julia Elena teaches an elegant salon style. When you start the dance, you do not start with a step, you start with a feeling.

Her goal is to teach her students to dance with the music and not just the steps; to dance with a firm embrace for better connection and proper posture for better balance.

Come to the classes and learn these fundamentals. Dance with us just like in the milongas of Buenos Aires. Make your dance a special one which is slowly savored!

Shoes

Leather sole shoes are recommended to make proper turns and to learn properly. No platform shoes.

Partner Not Required

A partner is not required as we switch partners frequently to learn more from others. Bring yourself! Bring a friend!

About Sarita's

Argentine Tango returns to Sarita's Chicken & Restaurant EVERY WEDNESDAY. It is 2 blocks away from Wheaton Metro station on Ennalls Avenue. Free parking after 6 pm. Saritas has an authentic and exquisite Peruvian menu.

Classes, practicas, milongas and special events are held on the left side of the restaurant, through the arches.
