About Marcos Pereira and Florencia Borgnia
Marcos & Florencia are Argentinian tango dancers. They are truly representatives of a young artists´ generation who had made of Tango, which is the artistic expression that defines their country, not just a passion that has united them, but also a talented professional career.
They became a tango couple in 2013, although they already had individually over ten years dancing tango, learning and researching it.
They have studied with most of the most important teachers and referents of Argentine Tango, achieving a refined and elegant dance style that characterizes them.
They have developed a unique style, mixing elements of traditional tango, keeping the roots of tango salon inherited from their teachers and the best "milongueros", but aggiornado with new tools that they have incorporated into their dance by studying tango stage, always preserving the essence of the "tango de pista " with an intimate embrace and the couple connection as a fundamental premise.
Between 2013 and 2014, they worked in the historic "Café Tortoni´s Show" in Buenos Aires. They also integrated the staff of "Añoranzas Tango Show" and they have performed in the most famous milongas in Buenos Aires, such as Salón Canning, Sunderland Club, Sin Rumbo, Club Villa Malcolm, Floreal Milonga and La Baldosa among others.
In 2015 they were called to integrate the ENTA (Nacional Space of Argentine Tango), an educational and cultural program, unpublished and unique in the World, for advanced tango dancers, which aims to preserve the knowledge and experience of this popular dance, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, anddirected by Silvana Grill.
In 2015, they received 2nd Place in The Buenos Aires City Tango Championship, achieving a high recognition in their artistic career.
At the present time, Marcos and Florencia continue their constant training, researching and creating to achieve the most accurate transmission of tango, it's roots and the love for this dance that has changed their lives and amaze the whole world.
