Dear Caminito Amigos,
We are slowly opening back! We are beginning with private lessons and an outdoor asado (Argentine BBQ) with Marcos Pereira and Florencia Borgnia, long time friends of Caminito Amigo. They are in Washington DC performing at the GALA Theatre’s “Ella es Tango”.
We currently recommend that any visitors to the studio be vaccinated or use a mask. This is not a requirement and solely up to the student’s own safety.
We are not holding group classes or workshops just yet as we want to avoid a large group in a small setting such as our studio.
We continue to do virtual classes from Buenos Aires and will continue to support our friends in Buenos Aires who are not as fortunate as we are here in the United States. Their Covid numbers are up and the city is still experiencing a curfew. We will continue to do virtual classes as long as students are willing to attend and as long as our Masters need us. Consider taking a class to support them.

Dear Caminito Amigos,
I'm sorry to say we will not be reopening the studio anytime soon.
I hope all of you are doing well the same as your loved ones. Jose and I are doing well, however our dear Caminito Amigo mascot Stone passed in March. The studio hasn't been the same.
With argentine tango being such a close proximity activity and our studio being so small, the only way we will open are if the virus dies out or a vaccine is found.
The virus still lives. It's out there and the more we come into close contact with others, the longer it will live. This is a new world we are living in. The sooner we accept that and live accordingly, the sooner this virus will die out.
Jose is teleworking; we are doing online shopping (delivery or pickup); we are washing our hands every time we step outside; we wear masks around those not in our household; when a friend or family comes by they stay in the backyard keeping a decent distance.
But that doesn't mean we are shut down! We are busy as ever organizing virtual tango classes every day with amazing teachers.
This isn't the world we want, but it's the world we have for now. Let's make the best of it!

Due to concerns related to the Coronavirus, we are postponing all classes, privates and events at Caminito Amigo Studio.
We did not come to this decision lightly; only after much consideration and with a heavy heart. Considering the safety of our students, as well as doing our part to contain this virus, we have determined that this is the only viable course of action.
